  • ​Suppose the Lord would begin to make people as sick as they claim to be on Sunday
  • Suppose the Lord would take away the child whom parents use as an excuse for staying home from church
  • What if the Lord makes people as poor as they say they are when asked to help finance His program.
  • Suppose the Lord should have all stoned to death for covetousness as with Achan
  • What if the Lord should let some parents look into the future at their children and see what their lax control and example did to them

Just suppose--and then, by the help of the Lord, go forth and live and serve as if eternity was soon coming.

It is! I come quickly says the Lord

What We Mean When We Say....

AMEN - In Hebrew it means "so be it," "truly," "indeed"
  • Used to conclude prayers
  • Express approval
Deuteronomy 27:15; Revelation 22:20; I Corinthians 14:16-17

Deliverance - Being set free from something someone is bound to.  We were promised deliverance by Jesus.  (Luke 4:18)

Godhead - The deity; all of God's character and attributes.
  • Only One God - Deuteronomy 6:4
  • He is a spirit - John 4:24
  • He is Jesus Christ in the Flesh - I Timothy 3:16

Hallelujah - Means "praise the Lord" or "praise Jehovah" in Hebrew
Psalms 150:1, 6

Offering - A monetary gift that we voluntarily give to support the CHURCH. This shows our gratitude for the blessings that God gives us.
I Corinthians 16:1-2; II Corinthians 9:6-9

Tithe - This means a tenth, We give a tenth of our income to support the ministry.
Malachai 3:10; I Corinthians 16:2

How To Destroy Your Church

  • Don't attend
  • If you do attend, arrive late and leave early
  • Visit other churches often.
  • At every service ask yourself, "What do I get out of this?"
  • Never volunteer for anything. Let the pastor do it.
  • Gossip.
  • Be critical of the pastor and the musicians.
  • Don't give, or wait until the end of the tax year to see if you have any extra money
  • Don't talk with others or encourage them.
  • Don't forgive when someone offends you.
  • Avoid praying for your church.
